Music Ministry at Sunshine Care

St. Tim's Outreach efforts include organizing and coordinating parish projects to benefit the disadvantaged members of our society in practical ways. Different projects are targeted at different groups -- the homeless, seniors in assisted living, orphans in Mexico, etc.

Music Ministry to Seniors at Sunshine Care Assisted Living - A group is organized after the Sunday service once a month to lead the residents for an hour of song.

St. Tim's Giving Groves ministry feeds the hungry all year long by saving fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste. We do this by gleaning private citrus groves around the county from spring til late fall and giving the fruit to the San Diego Food Bank for distribution throughout San Diego County. This is a fun activity where the whole family can participate.

Other examples of outreach are:

on-going collection of non-perishable food, toiletries, and other useful items for distribution to the homeless

on-going collection of children's books for pre-schoolers

collecting donations and organizing a party to visit an orphanage in Mexico

collecting and distributing blankets for the homeless

collecting school supplies for disadvantaged children in September
